A circle of friends on pilgrimage for the love of God.
In 1999, a handful embarked upon a little experiment. You might call it deconstructing church. We stripped away everything (except our clothes) and simply got together. Ate meals. Talked about life. Waited in silence. And sometimes even prayed.
One thing we did do was keep meeting. We’re still meeting. The shape of our community has changed. One man died. Some wander in and out. A few strangers wandered. Then some even stranger folks wandered in.
We moved into a building and recreated our living room.
The building burned. So we moved back home.
We still eat. Watch a lot youtube videos. Pray. Cry. Argue. We open Scripture like going on a Safari with Jesus as our guide. We listen to music. Go to concerts. Cookout. And try to learn what it might look like to shape life around loving one another.
We haven’t written any best-selling books or been featured on any magazines. We just live and love and try open our lives and our community to the world around in love. We fail a lot. But we’ve been caught by a Lover who won’t let us go until we look and love like Him.
