I like ideas and I like to read people who have them. The longer I live, the more I realize I don’t know much about anything. So anytime I can find help in making sense of people who really do know something, I smile real big. Paul Martin provided a nice link to Dictionary of Philosophical Terms and Names.

My 1st short story on my new blog (upgrade01a.wordpress.com) contains several interesting external links as well as internal links to my own dictionary. The definitions are needed to explain some of the newer concepts introduced within the story.
My feeling is that the only effective ways to discover the truth about the world we live in is through objective scientific investigation, mathematics, and story telling. All other techniques I have come across tend to be self-deceptive – or at least that has been my personal experience (e.g. meditation, religion, pure thought …). Lately, the best story tellers seem to be coming from scientists such as Richard Dawkins, Steven Pinker, and Brian Greene.
